Call For Help
Although we know a thing or two about bands, sadly we don't know everything. For that reason we are willing to accept help from anyone who can provide it. Although we would greatly appreciate assistance in adding more bands to our family tree, there are very strict guidelines that must be followed in order to maintain the high quality of data that allows this website to function. If you have something to add, please read the following instructions before contacting us.
1.
Read and understand the Rules page! There is nothing worse than spending half your day researching an obscure link only to find out that the band doesn't qualify.
2.
Do not merely make suggestions about what bands to add. Chances are we have already considered the band in question but have yet to determine how to link them in.
3.
If you have a band to add please include the full band name, album title, year album was originally released, every label that the album appeared on, and all the members who participated on the release.
4.
Do not use only the nicknames or stage names of band members. We try and use the full, legal names of artists and include the stage names only for album credit accuracy.
5.
Do not send in band / album / artist information of a band which does not already have a member in our tree. Without an existing artist in our system, the band cannot connect (no shared members!) rendering the donated information useless.
6.
Please provide a 3rd party online resource that can corroborate your information (a URL will do nicely). It's not that we don't trust you, it's that we like to be thorough in verifying data.
7.
Do not email in album artwork! If you know where it can be found online, please include a link to the artwork. If that is unavailable and we are unable to locate the artwork artwork ourselves, we'll ask if you can provide it but please wait until asked before volunteering to email us large artwork files.

Email all help submissions to: help@bandtoband.com
9.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in your email being deleted. Mercilessly.
10.
Please do not email us to confirm our reception of a previous email. If we haven't addressed your first email we either have yet to get to it or have discarded it for not complying with these rules.
Please understand that these rules are in place to 1) ensure that all data added to our family tree is correct and 2) maintain our sanity. When you start dreaming about this website you'll understand what we're talking about.
